Agronomictraitsareimportantdeterminantstoriceyield,whicharecontrolledbycomplexgeneticfactorsaswellasgenotypebyenvironment(G×E)interactioneffects.TheG×Eeffectsforagronomictraitsofricehavebeendissectedwithvariousapproaches,butnotwiththecurrentavailableapproach,theassociationstudies.Inthisstudy,atotalof32655singlenucleotidepolymorphismswereusedtocarryoutassociationswith14agronomictraitsamong20riceaccessionsintwoenvironments.TheG×Einteractioneffectsforalltheagronomictraitswereathighlysignificantlevels(P<0.01),accountingfor3.4%–22.3%ofthetotalsumofsquaresexceptforthelengthofbrownrice.Twentythreeputativequantitativetraitloci(QTLs),includingfivepreviouslyknownandseveralnewpromisingassociations,wereidentifiedfor10of14traits.AnalysisoftherelationshipsbetweenthetraitsforwhichQTLsandthegenotypeeffectscouldbeidentifiedsuggestedthatthehigherthegenotypiceffect,thehigherthepossibilitytoidentifyQTLsforthegiventrait.ThenewQTLsdetectedinthisstudywillfacilitatedissectionofthecomplexagronomictraitsandmaygiveinsightintotheG×Eeffectswithassociationmapping.
