摘要 Steelproductionremainsanenergy-intensiveindustryinaworldwherethereisanever-increasingemphasisonloweringenergycosts,reducinggreenhousegasemissions,ensuringenvironmentalcompliance,andimprovingproductionrates.Asthegrowthindemandforspecialitysteelscontinuesitssteadyincrease,andnewmarketopportunitiesforeverhighersteelperformanceappear,significantglobalattentionisfocusedonsecondarysteelprocessing,andontheVD,VODandRHprocesses.Onenewtechnologyisabletoaddressalloftheseissuesandconcernstogether-theintegratedladletankvacuumdegassingstationequippedwiththenewmodularmechanicalvacuumpumpingsystems.Thispaperwillexaminetheeconomicandenvironmentalbenefits,operationalcharacteristics,andrecentresultsprovidedbysuchsteeldegassinginstallations.
