摘要 ThispaperinvestigatesthedesignofdigitalSigma-DeltaModulator(SDM)forfractional-Nfrequencysynthesizer.CharacteristicsofSDMsarecomparedthroughtheoryanalysisandsimulation.Thecurveofmaximum-loop-bandwidthvs.maximum-phase-noiseissuggestedtobeanewcriteriontotheperformanceofSDM,whichgreatlyhelpsdesignerstoselectanappropriateSDMstructuretomeettheirrealapplicationrequirementsandtoreducethecostaslowaspossible.Alow-spur3-orderMul-tistageNoiseShaping(MASH)-1-1-1SDMusingthree2-bitfirst-ordercascadedmodulatorsisproposed,whichbalancestherequirementsoftone-freeandmaximumoperationfrequency.
