摘要
ThispaperpresentsapreliminaryresultontheretrievalofatmosphericozoneprofilesusinganimprovedregressiontechniqueandutilizingthedatafromtheAtmosphericInfraRedSounder(AIRS),ahyper-spectralinstrumentexpectedtobeflownontheEOS-AQUAplatformin2002.SimulatedAIRSspectrawereusedtostudythesensitivityofAIRSradianceonthetroposphericandstratosphericozonechanges,andtostudytheimpactofvariouschannelcombinationsontheozoneprofileretrieval.SensitivitystudyresultsindicatethattheAIRShighresolutionspectralchannelsbetweenthewavenumber650-800cm-1provideveryusefulinformationtoaccuratelyretrievetroposphericandstratosphericozoneprofiles.EigenvectordecompositionofAIRSspectraindicatethatnomorethan100eigenvectorsareneededtoretrieveveryaccurateozoneprofiles.TheaccuracyoftheretrievedatmosphericozoneprofilefromthepresenttechniqueandutilizingtheAIRSdatawascomparedwiththeaccuracyobtainedfromcurrentAdvancedTIROSOperationalVerticalSounder(ATOVS)dataaboardNationalOceanicandAtmosphericAdministration(NOAA)satellites.Asexpected,acomparisonofretrievalresultsconfirmsthattheozoneprofileretrievedwiththeAIRSdataissuperiortothatofATOVS.
