简介：Inthepresentpaper,thegraphicalmethoddeterminationofoptimalweldingparametersofGMAWisdescribed.Somequalitycomplexcriteriathataretheratioofweldsizeshavebeenproposed.Thesecriteriaallowoptimizingtheshapeoftheweldmetalzone,reducingthelikelihoodofhotcracksformation,andreducingthestressconcentrationoftheweldatthetoe.Intheproposedmethodology,theearlierdescribedequationsconnectingtheweldingparametersandthewelddimensionsofmildandlow-alloysteelsareexplored.Determinationoftheoptimalweldingparametersiscarriedoutgraphicallytakingintoaccountthevarianceoftheweldingparameters.Anexampleofusingtheproposedmethoddestinedtodeterminetheoptimumweldingparametersisprovided.Itisshownthatitsaccuracyissufficientlygoodforapracticalapplication.
