  • 简介:Toobservetheeffectsofdifferentacupuncturemanipulationsonbloodpressureandtargetorgandamageinspontaneouslyhypertensiverats(SHRs),thisstudyusedthereinforcingtwirlingmethod(1.5–2-mmdepth;rotatingneedleclockwisefor360°andthencounterclockwisefor360°,withthethumbmovingheavilyforwardandgentlybackward,60timesperminutefor1minute,andretainingneedlefor9minutes),thereducingtwirlingmethod(1.5–2-mmdepth;rotatingneedlecounterclockwisefor360°andthenclockwisefor360°,withthethumbmovingheavilybackwardandgentlyforward,60timesperminutefor1minute,andretainingneedlefor9minutes),andtheneedleretainingmethod(1.5–2-mmdepthandretainingtheneedlefor10minutes).BilateralTaichong(LR3)wastreatedbyacupunctureusingdifferentmanipulationsandmanualstimulation.Reinforcingtwirling,reducingtwirling,andneedleretainingresultedinadecreasednumberofapoptoticcells,reducedBaxmRNAandproteinexpression,andanincreasedBcl-2/BaxratiointhehippocampuscomparedwiththeSHRgroup.Amongthesegroups,theBcl-2/Baxproteinratiowashighestinthereducingtwirlinggroup,andtheBcl-2/BaxmRNAratiowashighestintheneedleretaininggroup.Theseresultssuggestthatreinforcingtwirling,reducingtwirling,andneedleretainingmethodsallimprovebloodpressureandpreventtargetorgandamagebyincreasingthehippocampalBcl-2/BaxratioandinhibitingcellapoptosisinthehippocampusinSHR.

  • 简介:Weinvestigatetheeffectsofspontaneouslygeneratedcoherence(SGC)onboththesteadyandtransientgainpropertiesinafour-levelinverted-Y-typeatomicsysteminthepresenceofaweakprobe,twostrongcoherentfields,andanincoherentpump.Forthesteadyprocess,wefindthattheinversionlessgainmainlyoriginsfromSGC.Inparticular,wecanmodulatetheinversionlessgainbychangingtherelativephasebetweenthetwofields.Moreover,theamplitudeofthegainpeakcanbeenhancedandtheadditionalgainpeakcanappearbychangingthedetuningofthecouplingfield.Asforthetransientprocess,thetransientgainpropertiescanalsobedramaticallyaffectedbytheSGC.ComparedtothecasewithoutSGC,thetransientgaincanbegreatlyenhancedwithcompletelyeliminatedtransientabsorptionbychoosingtheproperrelativephasebetweenthetwofields.Andtheinverted-Y-typesystemwithSGCcanbesimulatedinbothatomicandsemiconductorquantumwellsystemsavoidingtheconditionsofSGC.

  • 简介:Background:Ketamineisappliedwidelyforsedationduringcardiaccatheterizationinspontaneouslybreathingchildrenwithcongenitalheartdisease(CHD).However,arareandunreportedrespiratorycomplication,transientandreversibleatelectasisoflungs(TRAL),wasidentified.Purpose:ThestudywasperformedtoinvestigateretrospectivelytheprevalenceandclinicalcharacteristicsofTRALafterketaminesedationinpediatriccardiaccatheterization.Methods:Fourthousandfourhundredandseventy-foursickchildrenweresedatedwithketamine,andpediatriccardiaccatheterizationwascarriedoutunderspontaneousbreathing.TRALwasdetectedin33children(17M/16F,agewas2.1±1.7years)byretrospectiveanalysis.Theclinicalandradiographiccharacteristicswererecordedbefore,duringandafterTRAL.Results:Inpediatriccardiaccatheterization,theprevalenceofTRALwas0.74%afterketaminesedation.TRALoccurredin23childrenwithcyanoticCHD,and10withacyanoticCHD.AllTRALshadcommonclinicalandradiographicfeatures:thediffuseopacityofbilaterallungsdevelopedrapidly(identifiedunderX-rayfluoroscopy),associatedwithdecreaseinlungvolume,andthenthedecreaseinSpO2(94.2±9.2%vs.59.4±2.2%,P<0.05),andheartrates(143.5±14.3bpmvs.58.3±9.7bpm,P<0.05)followedquickly.TRALwasrelievedbysupportiveoxygenin32children(23withfacemask,and9withendotrachealintubation),andthedurationofTRALwas1.6±0.5minutes.However,TRALcausedthedeathofonechild.Conclusions:TRALisarareandurgentrespiratorycomplicationafterketaminesedation,andthemechanismisunclear.RapidanddiffuseopacityofbilaterallungsistheearliestsignofTRALinpediatriccardiaccatheterization,andtheimmediatesupportiveoxygeniscrucial.

  • 简介:Toinvestigatethetreatmenteffectof2-seleniumbridgedβ-cyclodextrin(2-SeCD),aGPXmimic,onthestrokeofstroke-pronespontaneouslyhypertensiverats(SHRSP),fifty-twoSHRSPof8-weekoldwererandomlydividedintofourgroupsA,B,CandcontrolgroupD.TheratsofgroupsA,B,CandDweregiven1.0%-1.5%NaClmassfractionasdrinkingfluid.Afteronsetofstroke,groupsA,BandCweregivenorally16.05,160.5and1605mg*kg-1*day-1of2-SeCD,respectively,andgroupDwasgivenwaterfor2weeks.Theclinicalscoreofstroke,systolicbloodpressure(SBP),survivaltimeofratswererecordedandthehistopathologicexaminationsoftheirbrainandcarotidarteryweremadeafterdecapitation.Theclinicalscoresofstrokeaftertreatmentwith160.5mg*kg-1*day-1(GroupB)and1605mg*kg-1*day-1(GroupC)of2-SeCDare2.55±0.98and1.98±0.79,respectively,thoseareobviouslylowerthanthatofgroupD(3.41±0.83,p<0.01).ThesurvivaldaysingroupB(10.0±8.6)andgroupC(14.4±7.9)arelongerthanthatforgroupD(4.7±2.9,p<0.01).TheelectronmicroscopestudyshowedthattheendotheliumofcarotidarterywasneartonormalingroupBandgroupC,whileitwasseriouslyinjuredincontrolgroupDandmildlyinjuredingroupA.2-SeCDmayeffectivelybeusedtotreatthestrokeforSHRSP.

  • 简介:Basementmembranedegradationandblood-brainbarrierdamageappearaftercerebralinfarction,severelyimpactingneuronalandbrainfunctioning;however,theunderlyingpathogeneticmechanismsremainpoorlyunderstood.Inthisstudy,weinducedcerebralinfarctioninstrokepronespontaneouslyhypertensiveratsbyintragastricadministrationofhigh-sodiumwater(1.3%NaCl)for7consecutiveweeks.Immunohistochemicalandimmunofluorescenceassaysdemonstratedthat,comparedwiththenon-infarctedcontralateralhemisphere,stroke-pronespontaneouslyhypertensiveratsonnormalsodiumintakeandWistar-Kyotorats,matrixmetalloproteinase-9expression,thenumberofbloodvesselswithdiscontinuouscollagenIVexpressionandmicrovesseldensityweresignificantlyhigher,andthenumberofcontinuouscollagenIV-positivebloodvesselswaslowerintheinfarctborderzonesofstroke-pronespontaneouslyhypertensiveratsgivenhigh-sodiumwater.Linearcorrelationanalysisshowedmatrixmetalloproteinase-9expressionwaspositivelycorrelatedwiththenumberofdiscontinuouslycollagenIV-labeledbloodvesselsandmicrovesseldensityincerebralinfarctsofstroke-pronespontaneouslyhypertensiverats.Theseresultssuggestthatmatrixmetalloproteinase-9upregulationisassociatedwithincreasedregionalangiogenesisanddegradationofcollagenIV,themajorcomponentofthebasallamina,instroke-pronespontaneouslyhypertensiveratswithhigh-sodiumwater-inducedfocalcerebralinfarction.
