简介：TheagestructureofthenaturalZoysiajaponicaclonalpopulationatQipanMountaininHuishanScenicSpotofShenyang,LiaoningProvince,Chinawasstudiedusingthemorphologicalmethodin2003and2004.Thedynamicsofleaveswererecordedandthedynamicsoftillerandrhizomeinthegrowingseasonwereobserved.Theresultsindicatedthattherhizomesformedindifferentyearschangedincolorandrigidity.Itsinternodesproducedinautumnbecameshorter.Thenumberofnakednodeschangedwiththetillerage.Rhizomeandtillercharacterswereusedasafoundationforjudgingtheagesofmodulesinthisstudy.Thelongevityoftillerandrhizomewas3yearsatmost.Atthebeginningofthegrowingseason,2-year-oldtillersandrhizomespredominated.ThenI-year-oldtillersandrhizomesincreasedrapidlyandbecamedominantinJuly.Theproportionofbudstotillersonquantitywasstableatabout30%inthemid-phaseofthegrowingseasonandrosetoabout50%inautumn.Theseasonaldynamicsoftiller,rhizomeandbudwasveryimportanttoguaranteethesustainedexistenceoftheZoysiajaponicapopulation.TheturnoverofmoduleswasthemechanismofsustainingtherejuvenationoftheZoysiajaponicaclonalpopulation.
