Facialparalysiscanbeclassifiedascentralorperipheralfacialparalysisbasedonthelocationoftheunderlyinglesion,bothofwhichdemonstratefacialmotordysfunction.Inthecurrentlyreport,apatientadmittedtothedepartmentofotology,FirstPeople’sHospitalofQinhuangdao,presentedwithfacialasymmetryastheinitialsymptomofacerebralinfarctionandwasfirstmisdiagnosedasperipheralfacialparalysis.Thecaseisreportedasfollows.
