Owingtotheexistenceoftheflowfieldboundary,theshockwaveloadneartheboundaryisdifferentfromthefreefieldshockwaveload.Inthepresentpaper,thehullplateloadsubjectedtounderwatershockwaveisinvestigatedbasedonwavemotiontheories;inaddition,theexperimentalstudyofthehullplateloadiscarriedout.Accordingtothetheoreticalanalysisofthehullplatepressure,wefindthatthehullplatepressureoscillatesrepeatedlyanddecaysrapidlywithtimepassing,themaximumhullplatepressureis2/（1＋n）timesthemaximumfreefieldpressure,wherenistheratioofimpedance,andtheimpulseismuchsmallerthanthefreefieldimpulse.Comparedwiththeexperimentalstudy,thetheoreticalresultsagreewellwiththeexperimentaldata.
