Theparameteridentificationmodelisproposedfordeterminingthelinearadsorptionisothermsandthesoliddiffusioncoefficientsbyusingadsorptionchromatorgaphy.Axialdispersioncoefficientsisfirstlydeterminedbypulse-respondexperimenttechniquewithaninertsubstanceastracer,thentheelutioncurvesofchromatographyseparatingtheisomermannitolandsorbitolaredeterminedbythechromatographicmeasuringtechnique,andpinallytheadsorptionisothermsandthesoliddiffusioncoefficientsofmannitolandsorbitolonCa^2+resinsareestimatedbyusingthismodel.Theresultsshowthattheaxialdispersioncoefficientsincreasewithfluidvelocityincreasing,Theadsorptionequilibriumconstantsdecreasewithtemperaturerising;andthesoliddiffusioncoefficientsincreasewithtemperaturerising.Thetheoreticalelutioncurvesaregoodagreementwiththeexperimentalelutioncurvesoftheliquidadsorptionchromatographyseparatingthemannitolandthesorbitol.Themodelprovidesasimpleandreliableproceduretoestimatethekineticandthermodynamicparmetersoftheadsorption.
