简介:Thesphericalheadmodelhasbeenwidelyusedinmagnetoencephalography(MEG)asasimpleforwardmodelforcalculatingtheexternalmagneticfieldproducingbyneuralcurrentsinahumanbrain.Butthismodelmayleadtoaninaccurateresult,evenifthecomputationspeedisfast.Formoreprecisecomputation,realisticbrain-shapedheadmodelisusedwiththeboundaryelementmethod(BME),butatgreatlyincreasedcomputationalcost.WhensolvingMEGinverseproblembyusingoptimizationmethods,theforwardproblemmustoftenbesolvedforthousandsofpossiblesourceconfigurations.Soifthebrain-shapedheadmodelisusedinalliterativestepsofoptimization,itmaybecomputationallyinfeasibleforpracticalapplication.Inthispaper,wepresentamethodaboutusingcompoundheadmodelinMEGinversesolution.Inthismethod,firstsphericalheadmodelisusedforaroughestimation,thenbrain-shapedheadmodelisadoptedformoreprecisesolution.Numericalsimulationindicatesthatundertheconditionofsameaccuracy,thecomputationspeedforthepresentmethodisaboutthreetimesfasterthanamethodusingthebrain-shapedheadmodelatalliterations.

简介:AIM:Toassesstherepeatabilityofmeasuringopticnervehead(ONH)parametersusingtheCirrusopticalcoherencetomography(OCT),aswellastoassesstheeffectofheadtiltonthesemeasurements.METHODS:Thirtyhealthyparticipantswithnoevidenceofglaucomawererecruitedforthestudy.Visualacuity,intraocularpressure,standardautomatedperimetryandocularexaminationwereperformedforeachparticipant.OneeyewasthenrandomlyselectedandscannedundilatedwiththeCirrusOCTin3positions(neutral,30°righttiltand30°lefttilt).RESULTS:Datacollectedfrom29eyeswereusedforanalysis.Onepatientwasomittedduetopoorscanquality.TherepeatabilityoftheONHparameterswasanalyzedusinganalysisofvariance,coefficientofvariation(COV)andintraclasscorrelationcoefficient(ICC).Analysisofvarianceshowednostatisticallysignificantdifferencebetween3scansinasingleposition.Therewasgoodagreementbetweenmeasurements(ICC0.919-0.996,COV1.94%-5.48%).Evenwiththepresenceofheadtilt,repeatedscansinthe3positionsshowedgoodagreementaswell(ICC0.888-0.996,COV2.04%-5.39%).CONCLUSION:SerialmeasurementsofONHparametersusingtheCirrusOCTarefoundtohavegoodrepeatability.TheONHparameterswithCirrusOCTalsomaintaingoodrepeatabilitydespiteheadtilt.
