简介:Thesphericalheadmodelhasbeenwidelyusedinmagnetoencephalography(MEG)asasimpleforwardmodelforcalculatingtheexternalmagneticfieldproducingbyneuralcurrentsinahumanbrain.Butthismodelmayleadtoaninaccurateresult,evenifthecomputationspeedisfast.Formoreprecisecomputation,realisticbrain-shapedheadmodelisusedwiththeboundaryelementmethod(BME),butatgreatlyincreasedcomputationalcost.WhensolvingMEGinverseproblembyusingoptimizationmethods,theforwardproblemmustoftenbesolvedforthousandsofpossiblesourceconfigurations.Soifthebrain-shapedheadmodelisusedinalliterativestepsofoptimization,itmaybecomputationallyinfeasibleforpracticalapplication.Inthispaper,wepresentamethodaboutusingcompoundheadmodelinMEGinversesolution.Inthismethod,firstsphericalheadmodelisusedforaroughestimation,thenbrain-shapedheadmodelisadoptedformoreprecisesolution.Numericalsimulationindicatesthatundertheconditionofsameaccuracy,thecomputationspeedforthepresentmethodisaboutthreetimesfasterthanamethodusingthebrain-shapedheadmodelatalliterations.

简介:Objective:Tosummarizetheperi-operativeexperiencefrom53patientswithtraumaticheadinjurieswithGCSscore3-5.Methods:Fifty-threemostseverelyhead-injuredpatientswithGCSscore3-5wereadmittedtoourdepartmentandtreatedoperativelyfromOct.1994toJun.1998andthedatawereanalyzedretrospectively.Results:Thirty-sevencases(69.8%)survived,amongthem28(52.8%)hadagoodrecoveryormoderatedisability,and9(17%)hadseveredeficits.Theother16(30.2%)diedaftertherapy.Conclusions:Theprognosisofmostseverelyhead-injuredpatientscouldbeimprovedbyperi-operativetreatmentincludingpremedicalcare,earlyevacuationofintracranialhematomawithlargedecompressivecraniectomies,intracranialhypertensionmonitoring,moderatehypothermiatherapy,effectivepreventionandtreatmentofcerebralvasospasmandcomplications.

简介:Objective:Tostudytheepidemiologicfeaturesofhighwaytrafficaccidentsbyanalyzingtheclinicaldataofthepatientsdiedofheadinjury.Methods:Thereaturesofthecases'age,occupation,statusofheadinjuryandcomplications.andtherescueprocedureswereretrospectivelyanalyzedbasedonthedataof214patientsdiedofheadinjury.Results:Themainvictimewereadults(78%)andpeasants(52.8%).Andtheostcommonheadinjurieswereseverecerebralcontusionwithintracranialhematomas(73.4%).Themeanarrivaltimefromtheaccidentspotstohospitalswas(2.2±1.9)h.Andthemeanintervaltimebetweenthearrivalandoperationwas(1.9±0.9)h.Primaryandsecondarybrainstemdamagewerethemaincausesofearlydeath.Yetpulmonaryinfectionandmultipleorgansfailurewerethecommonreasonsforlatedeath.Conclusions:Enhancingthepropagandafortrafficregulations,establishingperfectpre-hospitalandin-hospitalEMS(emergencymedicalservice)system,catchingtheopportunityofoperation,andpreventingcomplicationsareessentialtoreducethemortalityoftrafficaccidentsinducedheadtrauma.
简介:Traumaticbraininjury(TBI)isamajorpublichealthproblemthroughouttheworld.Morethan400000patientswithTBIintheUnitedStatesofAmericaandmorethanamillionpatientswithTBIinChinaareadmittedtohospitaleveryyear.HeadtraumaisalsoNo.1killerofyoungpeopleinthedevelopedcountriesaswellasinsomedevelopingcountries.Unfortunately,theoutcomeofpatientswithsevereTBIisstillpoorallovertheworld.ThemortalityofsevereTBIpatients(GCS3-8)inmajorityofhospitalsisover30%andverysevereTBIpatients(GCS3-5)isover80%withonly15%functionalrecovery.1,2However,recentadvanceincerebralprotectionbymild(35-33℃)tomoderatehypothermia(32-30℃)iscertainlyencouraging,whichbringsneurosurgeonsthehopetoimprovetheoutcomeofsevereheadinjuredpatients.
简介:TheexperimentwasperformedtoevaluatetheprogeniesofplantlinestransgenicforauxinsynthesisgenesderivedfromRiT-DNA.Fourlinesofthetransgenicplantswereself-crossedandtheforeignauxingenesinplantsofT5generationwereconfirmedbySouthernhybridization.Twolines,D1232andD1653,showedearlierfoldingofexpandingleavesthanuntransformedlineandthereforehadearlyinitiationofleafyhead.LeafcuttingsderivedfromplantoftransgeniclineD1653producedmoreadventitiousrootsthanthecontrolwhereasthecuttingsfromfoldingleaveshadmuchmorerootsthanrosetteleavesatfoldingstage,andthecuttingsfromheadleaveshadmorerootsthanrosetteleavesatheadingstage.Itisdemonstratedthatearlyfoldingoftransgenicleafmaybecausedbytherelativelyhigherconcentrationofauxin.Theseplantlineswithauxintransgenescanbeusedforthestudyofhormonalregulationindifferentiationanddevelopmentofplantorgensandforthebreedingofnewvarietywithrapidgrowthtrait.
