Inthispaper,anewprocesstofabricateanelectromagneticsteppingmicromotorusingsurfacescarificiallayertechnology(SSLT)isillustrated,andtheSEMphotoofthesteppingmicromotorisshowed.Thetorqueofthesteppingmicromotorwithmaxsimumtorqueof60μNmisdirectlycalculatedbyusingelectromagneticslawsandthelawofconservationofenergy.ThestatorandtheshaftandtherotorofthemicromotorwiththematerialofnickelarefirstallfabricatedbynormalLIGAprocessatthesametime.ThesacrificiallayerstructurewiththematerialofAZresistismadeonthesurfaceoftherotorbyusingSSLT.ThestatorandtheshaftarefixedtogetherwithcoppersubstrateinsteadoftheoldTisubstratebyelectroplating.AfterremovingtheTisubstrate,PMMAresistandthesacrificiallayerstructure,therotorisseparatedfromthestatorandnewcoppersubstrate,andcanrotateonthenewsubstratedrivenbymagneticforce.Thefourcoilswith300turnseacharewoundonironbarsbyhandusingmicroscopeandsteppingmotor.Thebarsareassembledbyhandintothestatorholesfromrearofnewcoppersubstratetofromamagneticcircuitwiththestatorandtherotor.Apowersupplywithfourconsecutivepulsesprovidesthecurrentforthecoilswoundontheironbarsadnproducesthemagneticforcetodrivetherotortorunwiththespeedof60rpm.
